Pet Nutrition and Food Therapy

One of the benefits of using holistic treatments like acupuncture, laser therapy and various manual therapies is that these treatments work to balance the whole body without causing adverse side effects.  In order to do this, holistic therapies utilize the body's inherent energy which comes from the nutritional content of the foods we consume.  With a highly processed or poor quality diet, a patient may not have the energy reserves to fully respond to a holistic treatment.  So to achieve the best response from holistic treatments like acupuncture, we also need to address the patient's nutritional status.

Dr. Tharp uses a Clinical Animal Nutrition Survey and a Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis to help identify nutritional imbalances in patients.  The Clinical Animal Nutrition Survey prioritizes organ systems and glands that are in need of nutritional support.  Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis provides the levels of key trace minerals in your pet's body.  Based on the results of these two analyses, Dr. Tharp will make recommendations for diet changes and/or nutritional supplements for your pet.

Dr. Tharp uses and recommends Standard Process whole food supplements.
